GATLAND TO LIKELY TOUR SOUTH AFRICA

The profile of the 53-year old is at its highest after he impressed at the Test series in New Zealand.

Gatland has a deal with the Welsh team to continue until after the 2019 World Cup. The manager says he would honour his contract. He took over in December 2007, leading the side at the 2008 and 2012 Six Nations Grand Slams. He also managed them to a World Cup semi-final spot in 2011 before renewing his deal in 2013.

“My focus is now on Wales, preparing for the World Cup in Japan. I am a firm believer of what will be so I won’t be looking too far ahead. I am looking forward to the next few years with Wales and then see what other opportunities are out there,” he said, promising to stick with the Welsh side.

Norwich City is experiencing a number of changes which might hamper them

Norwich City is experiencing a number of changes which might hamper them

During the previous season of the Premier League, Norwich City was able to compete in the top tier English football competition but were relegated after finishing in the 19th spot and now Norwich City have taken a step back to the English League Championship.

After getting relegated, one of the initial objectives that Norwich City had was to snatch top position in the English League Championship and earn their promotion once again to the Premier League but this objective has been harder to accomplish than originally expected.

Norwich City has snatched the 10th spot of the English League Championship with 60 points from 41 matches and even though they still have a chance to secure a play-off promotion spot to the Premier League, it appears like it’s not going to happen as Norwich City has to play against clubs that have been doing fairly impressively in the season.

The opportunity of Norwich City to being able to earn a promotion spot to the English Premier League is still a realistic but a very difficult one to accomplish and especially for a club that has recently been experiencing a number of important changes including changing the head coach and the Sporting Director just to name a few of the more renowned switches.

Alan Irvine is the interim manager of Norwich City who still remain in charge of Norwich City until the end of the current season as he replaced Alex Neil on March 10 of 2017.

Alex Neil Wants Consistent Performances from Kyle Lafferty

Alex Neil Wants Consistent Performances from Kyle Lafferty

Norwich City have been quite open about the search for a new forward and this has put the future of striker Kyle Lafferty in question.

When asked if the striker was a potential candidate to leave in the summer transfer window, manager Alex Neil claimed that Lafferty had to be more consistent in his performances in order to have a future at Carrow Road. This comes as a direct hint that the club may be prepared to sell him in the last few days of the transfer window. Lafferty spent the last season on loan at Birmingham City.

The player, however, has struggled to establish himself in the last few seasons. Since the 2014-15 campaign, Lafferty has played in three different leagues for three different times. However, he has managed a grand total of 44 games with a return of just five goals. It is seriously starting to threaten his career at the top level. There is a danger of Lafferty being deemed as not being good enough even for the Scottish Premier League. Still just 28 years old, the striker has made 52 appearances for Northern Ireland since his debut in 2006. However, his career has been on a downward spiral for the last few years ever since he decided to leave Rangers.
