MUAMBA BACK PLAYING SOON
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba has said that he hopes to be back playing professional football for Bolton Wanderers as soon as possible. Muamba collapsed while playing for Bolton in the FA Cup quarter-final match against Tottenham.
Doctors have said that Fabrice Muamba had stopped functioning for up to 78 minutes, and the 24-year-old has said that he is grateful that he is just alive. However, he does not want to put an end to his professional career and wants to play football if without worsening his condition once again. It was highly doubtful that Fabrice Muamba could even recover from his issue, but the 24-year-old has made a miraculous recovery.
However, he is a major doubt to once again play as a professional footballer. The 24-year-old, though, has expressed his confidence that he will be able to play first-team football for Bolton Wanderers once again. He has revealed that he has started making progress in terms of being able to walk and do light exercises without any problems. He has said that he remembers only been dizzy during the incident that occurred back in March against Tottenham. He has also thanked all the fans and people from all over the world from whom he has received incredible support.
“I am happy to be here and the fact is I continue to feel fine. I am improving slowly but surely. At the moment I am not doing exercise, I am just enjoying life and travelling. It is a great privilege to be able to live without the assistance of a respiratory machine or something like that. It is fantastic. I have to co-ordinate with my doctor and see what he says but I’ll never say never. It is a miracle because I shouldn’t even have lived, so everything that comes now is a bonus,” said Muamba.
